digoDial

Support

Questions go straight to the maker. Write what happened, which version of the app is running and which PBX is behind it, and it moves on without a round of questions.

Requirements

  • macOS 15 or newer.
  • An Asterisk PBX with reachable AMI access and a dedicated user for digoDial.
  • A desk phone or another device on that PBX to dial through.

Before you write

The version number is at the bottom of the app menu. For connection questions the "Verbindung testen" button in the settings helps: it says whether address, port and user are right.

Frequent questions

The app shows no notifications.

Open System Settings, Notifications, find digoDial in the list and switch notifications on. For development builds macOS sometimes denies the request silently, because the signature changes with every build.

Names from Contacts are not found.

On first access macOS asks for the contacts permission. If it was denied, it lives in System Settings under Privacy and Security, Contacts.

The shortcut does nothing.

Then the accessibility permission is missing. It sits under Privacy and Security, Accessibility. If the app was rebuilt after the permission was granted, the old entry no longer matches: remove digoDial there with the minus and add it again from the Applications folder.

Do not disturb changes nothing on the PBX.

The switch sets an entry in the Asterisk database. For it to take effect the dialplan has to check it before the Dial. The lines for that are on the technology page.

The voicemail counter is wrong.

The mailbox field in the settings has to match the mailbox in Asterisk exactly, including the context, for example 1234@default.

After a network drop the running call is gone.

The app reconnects by itself and reads the state of the PBX again. If it stays disconnected, check that the PBX address is still reachable and that the AMI user permits the address of the Mac.
